BattleVision was born out of a realization
that visualizing and understanding the complexity
of military battle is very difficult to accomplish.
Formed in 2001, our father and son team set
out to produce a product never seen before.
After three years of development, we have
put together what we believe is the most complete
account ever produced on The Battle
of Shiloh.
Facing this challenge, BattleVision set out
to find a new way, a comprehensive way to
capture and describe battles - a way in which
they could be easily visualized and understood.
This is our vision - to capture, preserve,
and present every aspect of battles fought
throughout history in a clear, understandable
fashion. Using map animation combined with
an extensive narrative, and laced with quotes
from men who fought in the battle, BattleVision
tells the complete story of each battle from
above, in both detailed and summary perspectives.
Each production is enhanced with period music,
visual and sound effects, and original period
artwork. Our inital productions will be taken
from the Civil War between the United States
of America and the Confederate States of America
from 1861 through 1865.
Our map animation provides a bird's eye view
of the battlefield, so you can watch the movement
of infantry, artillery, cavalry, and navy
forces as they weave a tapestry of death and
destruction, the likes of which the New World
had never seen before - or since. Bear witness
to the intensity and ferocity of these horrific
battles - understand firsthand the "sacrifices
made on the altar of freedom." See and
feel what the soldiers saw and felt - understand
their courage, their fears, and the horror
of their experience.
Come with us, and experience history like
the day it happened!
